The Speed Camera That Tickets a Legal Speed

The posted limit on Harker Avenue rose from 40 to 50 in March. The enforcement camera at 12th Street kept ticketing at the old threshold for five more months, generating an estimated $2.3 million in fines.
Refunds, Maybe
After News Foundry shared its findings, the transportation department paused the camera and said affected drivers “may be eligible” for refunds. It has not committed to issuing them automatically.
